Berenson snags 300th victoryRed Berenson's wait is over. "Our time will come" is the message inscribed on a memento that sits on the Michigan hockey coach's desk. After 12 years and an even 300 victories at the helm of the Wolverine ship, Berenson's time has, indeed, finally come.
Maybe now hockey will be bigMaybe now they will notice. Maybe now, Michigan hockey won't be a side show, a distraction from basketball and football. Maybe now, after a national championship, people will understand just how good the Wolverines are.

It's the Hobey Baker Award, presented annually by the Decathlon Athletic Club of Bloomington, Minn. to the nation's most outstanding college hockey player. Friday, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Minnesota's Brian Bonin became the 16th recipient of the most prestigious individual hockey award.
Morrison strikes for Michigan againAll season long, Brendan Morrison said he would take the national title over the Hobey Baker Award. Wish granted. But he never thought he would attain the same amount of individual glory that he did by scoring the game-winner in overtime, to give Michigan a 3-2 victory over Colorado College and the championship.
3 Wolverines make all-tournament teamIn case you watched the NCAA championship game from under a rock, Brendan Morrison was named the tournament's most outstanding player. Joining him on the all-tournament team were teammates Steven Halko and Marty Turco, as well as defenseman Scott Swanson and forward Peter Geronazzo of Colorado College and forward Martin St. Louis of Vermont.
