Taylor scores 29; Michigan escapes Adelaide, 97-91
When the Michigan men's basketball team hosted the Adelaide 36'ers last night at Crisler Arena, it was most certainly an exhibition game.
Such contests are played for a variety of reasons, and most of them were evident in Michigan's 97-91 double-overtime victory over the Australian tourists.
Hughes shows he's what Blue needs
Brandun Hughes' first thought when he stepped on the court last night went something like this: These Australian guys aren't that big.
Which was pretty accurate, at least when compared to the Michigan men's basketball team.
Crozier out 8-12 weeks with a broken arm
Michigan left wing Greg Crozier will miss eight-to-12 weeks due to a fractured radius and ulna in his left forearm, trainer Rick Bancroft said.
"(Crozier) had surgery Sunday morning," Bancroft said. "Everything went very well."
Blue looks to pick up the pieces after upset
It's over. It's done with. It's time to move on.
That pretty much sums up the mood of the Michigan football team after Saturday's heartbreaking, 9-3 upset loss to Purdue.
Tepper gets the axe at Illinois
Tepper will coach the Illini's last two games - at Minnesota on Saturday and against Wisconsin on Nov. 23.
"I would hope that the fans will support their (players') efforts the rest of the season and during the transition to the new staff," Tepper said in a statement.
