Holtz resigns as Notre Dame football coach

The coach will announce at his weekly news conference today that he's resigning after 11 seasons. Details were completed at a meeting yesterday with athletic director Mike Wadsworth and the Rev. William Beauchamp, the university's executive vice president.

'M' athletes' inaction leads to loss

For Athletes in Action, their shooting touch may have been touched from above. In what was supposed to be a cakewalk, the Michigan basketball team was shocked by Athletes in Action, dropping a 104-96 decision.

This year, Ohio State more of a challenge

With all the troubles the Michigan football team has had in its last two games, a trip to Columbus may not be what the Wolverines need.
The Buckeyes are 10-0 overall and clinched a Rose Bowl berth with a victory over Indiana last weekend. They are ranked No. 2 in the country and haven't really been challenged all season.

Wolverines' defense is nothing short of offensive

And Maurice Taylor said some things like, "We're not in a state of panic" and "There's just some minor things we have to get better in ...."
And as hard as Fisher and the Wolverines try to sugarcoat last night's loss to Athletes in Action, last night's exhibition game means a lot more than they may be willing to admit. It does matter, and the Wolverines should be concerned.
