Michigan forward Maurice Taylor missed practice yesterday because of a strained peroneal tendon in his left foot.

But wait! No! You see the asterisk on the bottom of the schedule and realize it's a non-conference game. So you scroll down the schedule a bit more to see your first conference battle.

Blue battles for Big Ten basement

The Michigan women's soccer team hopes to continue its two-game undefeated streak this afternoon against Michigan State in its last Big Ten match of the season. The game - which kicks off at 3 p.m. at East Lansing - will be a battle between the two teams bringing up the rear of the Big Ten.
After four consecutive losses - the longest losing streak in team history - the Wolverines (2-3-1 Big Ten, 5-6-3 overall) rebounded last weekend with strong performances against Northwestern and Wisconsin.

Harriers will send second squad to Eastern Classic

Michigan men's cross country coach Ron Warhurst will only send his second team to Ypsilanti for tomorrow's Eastern Michigan Classic.
"We become the varsity for this week," junior Cory Brown said. "Just like any other race, the top five runners (for Michigan) will score."

No team has yet shown itself to be completely dominant, leading to many closer-than-expected contests.
