Maceo and Allison make Blues and Jazz Festival a hit

The Ann Arbor Blues and Jazz Festival is as much a part of Ann Arbor as frigid winters, dirty hippies and bad bagels. James Miller knows this town better than most and attacked the annual festival for the Daily with all his might. Here's his recap of this year's phenomenal event.

Reeves freezes in senseless new flick

So you want to see a good love story - one that will make you laugh and cry; one that even your date will enjoy because it touches that sensitive side in just the right way? If you thought "Feeling Minnesota" would be the perfect flick, keep looking because it isn't.

Canadian Moxys migrate south

If you looked in the dictionary, you would not find a definition for Moxy Fruüvous. Although the Canadian band's first album, "Bargainville," lists a few possible definitions of the name (froo'ves: n. 1. magical monk-baked pastry loaf. 2. high stakes Mesopotamian board game) even members of the band can't clearly define their sound.

Authors challenge standards of college, 'real life'

We live in a culture that loves the classroom. Especially here in Ann Arbor, it is a commonly held belief that in four years' time, between four walls, you can get an education that is both a refuge from and a preparation for the steel jaws of Real Life that are snapping at your heels.
