Woodson, Carr win Camp Award
In what could be a foreshadowing of more accolades to come, Michigan cornerback Charles Woodson and coach Lloyd Carr were named this year's recipients of the Walter Camp Foundation's Player and Coach of the Year, respectively.
The announcement came at a press conference at Schembechler Hall yesterday. The formal presentation will be held Feb. 14, at the Foundation's annual banquet in New Haven, Conn.
Bowl tickets may be scarce: 5,000-7,000 students expected to wait in line for Rose Bowl tickets
As students flock to Yost Ice Arena today to purchase Rose Bowl tickets, University administrators will cross their fingers and hope they are able to live up to their promise of providing every student with a ticket.

City delays vote on parking rate hikes
Motorists be warned. Parking in Ann Arbor, already expensive and cramped, could soon get much worse.
As part of the Ann Arbor City Council meeting last night, councilmembers held a public hearing on a proposal to raise the cost of street parking to help pay for city parking structure renovations. The proposal calls for meter rates to increase from 60 cents to $1 per hour.

Juveniles threatened with jail sentence
MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (AP) - A judge yesterday told two 10-year-old girls to stop taunting each other at school and in other public places - and threatened to send them to jail if they don't obey.
Judge Michael Schwartz cracked down on both girls in amending another judge's order that at the request of one girl's mother had required the other to leave her daughter alone.
