PEORIA, Ill. - Just two days after Michigan routed UNLV behind a screaming home crowd at Crisler Arena, the Wolverines experienced a role reversal.
After playing with fire in close victories over Towson and Detroit, Michigan got burned, losing a tight game to Bradley (4-3), 63-58, last night at Carver Arena.

PEORIA, Ill. - Remember the brilliant performance put on by the Wolverines in their 83-59 thrashing of UNLV on Saturday at Crisler Arena?
Well, forget it - at least for now. So far all indications are that Saturday's blowout was an exception to how Michigan's games will play out this season, especially after last night's five-point loss to Bradley. Besides an 18-point thrashing of Cleveland State on Nov.

The Michigan fight song, "The Victors" has been an accurate description of the quality of many of the Wolverines' sports programs. From Rose Bowls to Final Fours to winning countless conference and national championships in different sports, "The Victors" has been a fitting title.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - When Randy Moss showed up at Florida State, coach Bobby Bowden was almost giddy over his new wide receiver.
"He can run, he can jump, but what he does best is run like a scalded dog," Bowden said before Moss ran afoul of the law and was kicked off the team.

WASHINGTON (AP) - That losing feeling doesn't come around very often for the Kansas Jayhawks. This time, they were able to get rid of it in a hurry.
Raef LaFrentz had 25 points and 11 rebounds as No. 3 Kansas rebounded from its first loss of the season by rolling past Penn, 89-71, last night to take third place in the Franklin National Bank Classic.

Unable to match the top two teams in the nation, the Orange Bowl went for the next best game - No. 2 Nebraska versus No. 3 Tennessee with Heisman Trophy hopeful Peyton Manning.
With No. 1 Michigan playing No. 8 Washington State in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, the Orange Bowl could turn into a national title game only if the Cougars (10-1) upset the Wolverines (11-0).

LOS ANGELES (U-WIRE) - The UCLA basketball family has gone from having an "Empty Nest" to a "Full House" with yesterday's reinstatement of junior center Jelani McCoy.
McCoy, who was suspended from the team along with senior Kris Johnson on Oct. 29, fulfilled the necessary criteria set for his return by the athletic department and has brought the UCLA team fully together for the first time this season.
