Harlem Nutcracker to grace 'U': Famous ballet to feature local choirs, exhibits, caroling this weekend

What is Christmas without "The Nutcracker?" Perhaps the most famous ballet in the history of the dance, many people would include this piece in their definition of the holiday. At the same time, however, there are people who are sick and tired of "The Nutcracker," and furthermore, the holiday season does not begin and end with Christmas.

Suspense, wit, strong characters color 'Kiss'

"Kiss or Kill," as the title implies, is about both love and crime. In this fascinating and strangely disquieting movie, the two notions are not mutually exclusive. "Kiss or Kill" is both a suspense and love story in one, an unpredictable adventure through the landscape of Australia.

Director Waters puts 'House' on market

Mark Waters, director of what may be the first cinematic incest comedy, "The House of Yes," is weird. Or at least that's what his mom thinks. 'Games' offers workplace fun with Dilbert

"Dilbert's Desktop Games" is a lot of fun, but I'm just not sure if it's $20-25 worth. If "Dilbert's Desktop Games" somehow falls into your hands without you purchasing it, I advise taking her for a spin.

Burgess succeeds with bright 'Byrne'

"Byrne" spans two generations, following the life of Michael Byrne, "a lecherous defective dreamer," and the lives of his many illegitimate children. The tale is told by a poor poet, paid by Byrne to "tell what they call a cautionary tale" about the accomplishments of Byrne's mad family.
