Bagel Wars:: More than just a ring of dough, bagels mean big bucks on campus

Picture an ordinary Ann Arbor morning. It's 8 a.m. and, for a change, the sun is shining. You're standing on the corner of State Street and North University, planning to grab a bagel and coffee before your first class. This scene isn't so ordinary, at least not anymore. There are two enemy camps facing this quiet street corner. The troops have been mobilized since before 6 a.m., and they're preparing for another hard day of battle.

Campus Bike & Toy equips kids of all ages with cycles, playthings

Campus Bike & Toy Center is a well-established Ann Arbor tradition, serving the community with bikes, dolls and games for more than 60 years. The colorful sign hanging outside the downtown store is a reminder of something from the old school, when "bikes were toys," Vickie Plotner said.

Relax winter woes with massage

You are lying on a bed of soft pink sheets with your head and feet raised up by soft pillows. Your fingers are being caressed by a set of warm, capable hands and, after a few minutes, you are very relaxed. As you lie there, soothing instrumental music bathes the white-walled room in calm.
