Road warriors? Wolverines' road test starts in Iowa City
Tonight's Michigan men's basketball game against Iowa has all the makings of an epic contest.
The teams are tied for fifth in the Big Ten. Both are coming off of huge, emotional home losses. And both are desperately in need of a victory to regain some momentum as the Big Ten season enters its home stretch, and the run to the NCAA tournament begins.

Ten years ago, the Michigan women's swimming team won its first-ever Big Ten title, beginning their climb to become one of the nation's elite teams.
And they haven't lost since.
Blue wrestlers try to get back on track against Illinois
Less than a week after falling to No. 3 Minnesota, things aren't getting any easier for the 11th-ranked Michigan wrestling team. Tonight they battle No. 4 Illinois and are hoping for better results.
"Once again, we expect a tough match, and once again we aren't going to be the favorite going in," Michigan coach Dale Bahr said. "(Illinois is) stacked up and down the lineup."
California dreaming for Blue softball
After a successful season that fell short of its goal, the Michigan softball team returns to the field tomorrow to begin its 1997 campaign.
A Big Ten championship and a NCAA regional title did nothing to help Michigan achieve its goal of winning a game at the College World Series, but this weekend the quest begins anew. The team will take the field in San Diego tomorrow at the Campbell/Cartier Classic.
No. 4 Michigan to face stiff competition at Magical Classic

Well, almost.
The No. 4 Michigan women's gymnastics team is going to Orlando, Fla. tomorrow to compete in the Magical Classic against 8th-ranked UCLA, No. 11 Florida and No. 18 Kentucky. The competition will take place at Orlando's Orange County Convention Center, hosted by Brown's Gymnastics.

For many Michigan hockey fans, this weekend's games against Lake Superior will be the last chance to see this year's senior class of Wolverines at Yost Ice Arena.
Men's gymnasts remain positive before hosting Illinois-Chicago
The previous competitions may have been losses, but it can only get better when the Michigan men's gymnastics team faces Illinois-Chicago at Cliff Keen Arena on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Wolverines will be meeting the Flames for the first time since the Windy City Invitational in January. Michigan is coming off of a Feb. 8 loss in a double-dual meet to Minnesota and Michigan State in which the Wolverines' score slipped below their usual standards - opening the door for a Michigan State victory.
