'M' could learn from Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS - The Wolverines looked dejected, a lost and sad look of frustration plastered across their faces. They stood in front of the bench chins resting on the raised floor of Williams Arena, on top of their arms, crossed and resting on the hard wood.
Bussey gave a gift far more important than sports
DETROIT - Tyronee (Tiger) Bussey II died in his hospital bed at 11:45 p.m. on Jan. 3. He was upset, not because he was dying, but because of his timing. To die then was unacceptable.

Men's tankers worn out in meet
A 29-hour flight and a 16-hour time change are not part of the recipe for success in sports. Couple that with top-notch competition two days after the flight, and fatigue may begin to set in.
After a successful three-week training camp, the No. 6 Michigan men's swimming and diving team came back from Australia on Wednesday to swim against two top-five teams, No.1 Stanford and No. 5 California. Unfortunately for the Wolverines, training went better than the meets.
