Sex, love make a unique combination in 'Waves'
A story of love, sacrifice and faith, Lars von Trier's "Breaking the Waves" is a unique film. It merges a heartwrenching plot with unconventional direction and photography in producing a thoughtful cinematic experience, but it doesn't quite live up to its billing as one of the top films of 1996.
