While the ghosts and goblins are haunting the houses of America tonight, the Michigan men's tennis team will have its own haunted house to get through in Champaign, at the Rolex Region IV Championships. The individual-based tournament brings together the best tennis players in the midwestern region. It also determines bragging rights and ITA rankings for the spring season.

Athletes visit sick children at Mott: Pre-Halloween festivities highlighted by competitors in costumes

Most Michigan athletes are well-known for trying to inspire fear and terror in their opponents on the playing field. Yet, on Thursday night, approximately 50 Michigan athletes gathered at Mott Children's Hospital to inspire happiness and joy to children whose illnesses leave them confined to the hospital. Many of the athletes even donned Halloween costumes to add to the festive atmosphere.

North Carolina squeaks by Tech

ATLANTA (AP) - Jonathan Linton became the first player in North Carolina history to have 100 yards rushing and receiving in a game and the No. 5 Tar Heels remained in contention for a trip to the Orange Bowl with a 16-13 victory over Georgia Tech on Thursday night.
