'M' wrestlers prepare to take on rival State

There's nothing better than a backyard brawl - especially when both teams are nationally ranked. The No. 12 Michigan wrestling team will travel to East Lansing tonight to battle intrastate rival No. 9 Michigan State. "We have a nice rivalry with them - this is for the pride of the state," Michigan coach Dale Bahr said. "I think everyone gets excited for a match like this. We've had a good week of practice and this is what it's all about. It will be fun and we are excited about it.

Men's senior tankers conclude home careers

There won't be a lot of glamour or celebration at Canham Natatorium this Friday, even though the seniors on the Michigan swimming team will say goodbye to its friendly confines for the last time. The Wolverines will take on a considerably weaker Michigan State team and could very well win every event for the second meet in a row.

Hawkeyes come back on Badgers, 79-76

MADISON (AP) - Freshman Ricky Davis scored 25 points as 24th-ranked Iowa rallied in the second half to snap a four-game losing streak with a 79-76 victory over Wisconsin last night. Davis provided the crucial basket down the stretch when he grabbed the rebound off a missed Iowa free throw and scored on a dunk to give the Hawkeyes a 76-69 lead with just more than a minute remaining.
