McFarland likely to coach 'M' wrestling

The search for the next Michigan wrestling coach is on, and current assistant Joe McFarland has a leg up on the other candidates, athletic director Tom Goss said "He will be our leading candidate," Goss said, but "I couldn't say 100 percent" that the coach will be McFarland.

Jules Rimet, who came up with the idea for a world championship in this most popular of sports, would have loved it.

Calling the shots

Six years ago, legendary Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler helplessly watched as his wife, Millie, died of adrenal cancer, an extremely rare and fatal condition. The next year, Schembechler decided he wasn't going to watch others succumb to the illness without putting up a fight.
