Bound for Boston: 'M' hockey upsets North Dakota, 4-3

After Saturday's on-ice celebration was over and most of the players, coaches and media had left, Michigan forward Bill Muckalt leaned down and kissed the painted 'M' in the center of Yost Ice Arena. In that one gesture, Muckalt illustrated what all the Wolverines must have been feeling: There's no place like home.

Israeli reports said authorities were investigating whether the explosives were meant to be used in a terrorist attack.

State expands drug testing laws

LANSING (AP) - The state of Michigan plans to dramatically increase the number of state employees who must take drug tests and make a clean drug screen a requirement for getting a job. The rules, which are set to go into effect Aug. 1, already face opposition from unions who say the tests are unfair and possibly unconstitutional because they put front-line workers under more suspicion than management.
