Murphy makes house call on video

The story of Michigan's pass defense, "Dr. Dolittle," hits video shelves across the land today. Just kidding. Even Eddie Murphy couldn't cover David Boston. Murphy plays an eccentric veterinarian who thinks he hears things from some of his furry and feathered friends. This remake of the old musical allows Eddie Murphy to continue remaking movies, which gives the affable actor more time to cruise the late night streets. Transvestites beware. This puppy's hot!

Kevin Spacey and Samuel L. Jackson reteam for "The Negotiator," a gritty hostage drama. Their pairing is the best on- screen duo since Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro burned up the screen in Michael Mann's epic "Heat." This twosome gets us thinking about teams that we could do without: Ohio State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, any college team from Florida, Duke basketball, DiCaprio and Cameron, any New York team, any Chicago team other than the Cubs, any Los Angeles team and Lee Corso's Indiana Hoosiers. All bad squads aside, Spacey and Jackson deliver in this intense drama with the second to last performance of J.T. Walsh's career.
