Finally, after weeks of speculation, the Marcus Ray investigation is nearing resolution.
The Michigan Athletic Department, which submitted the results of its internal investigation to the NCAA last Friday, may make an announcement about Ray's future as early as today.
During yesterday's Big Ten teleconference, Lloyd Carr said he expected results as early as yesterday afternoon.
But with Athletic Director Tom Goss out of town, an announcement remained on hold.
