Poetry, music collide at Border Crossings

The seed of the Beat Generation, scraped and plucked from jazz of 1950s Greenwich Village and North Beach, erupted and grew, and its issue sprung eventually into atmospheric territory. Pulled into the whirlwind, Worldwide Web of 1998, the ward of Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac produced fleshy fruit.

Follow the path less traveled ...

Feeling lost already? Those that help run the Arb say it's pretty tough to know every inch of it by heart. "I came to a fork in the road and I took the path less traveled. And it made all the difference."

Many students, while filling out their housing request sheets, may have noticed a space for selecting substance-free housing. With the college student stereotype of partying and drinking, how many people actually opt to live in these rooms?

Since the explosion of the Internet less than five years ago, it has become possible to do most of life's more routine tasks without ever leaving your living room. Shopping, banking, job searching, endless amounts of research - and finding out everything you'd ever want to know about institutions of higher learning. In today's cyberspace-fueled age, schools without sufficient information available at the beck and call of Web users can lose thousands of would-be applicants who may simply point and click their way to a college that does provide the information they are looking for.

Tired of the same old exercise? Does it challenge you, push your limits, or get you 20 feet off the ground? Well, rock climbing does. Rock climbing is growing in popularity, causing gyms adapted for the sport to spring up all over the country - even in Ann Arbor.

Tillinghast shows he's not afraid of the big, bad wolves

English Language and Literature Prof. Richard Tillinghast has nothing to fear from Charlie Brown. "Miss Sweetstory," thought "Peanuts" comic strip character Snoopy when the aforementioned Brown claimed his favorite novelist produced nothing more than cheap pulp. After all, how could anyone not grow to love'The Six Bunny-Wunnies and the Female Veterinarian?!"
