Women's Cross Country Surges in Polls

Sparked by Julie Froud (above) and Katie McGregor, the Michigan women's cross country team has assumed its place among the class outfits in the nation. The most recent poll has Michigan ranked fifth overall.

In the FinishLynx/NCAA Division 1 women's cross country poll released

yesterday, Michigan held on to their preseason No. 5 ranking.

Brigham Young remained in the top spot, receiving all of a possible nine first-place votes
