U.S. soldiers held in Yugoslavia: Refugees continue to escape
BELGRADE, Yugoslavia (AP) - NATO used its air assaults to tighten a ring around Yugoslav forces in Kosovo, where Serbs were packing masses of ethnic Albanians into refugee trains so tightly that at least two people died. Three U.S. soldiers captured by the army faced charges by a military court.

Football ticket price reduced
The price of football season tickets for the general public will decrease from $35 to $31 per game, the University Athletic Department announced yesterday.
This price decrease will not affect student ticket prices.
Daily to assess affirmative action attitudes
The Michigan Daily will conduct the first comprehensive survey of student opinions on affirmative action and admissions policies at the University.
The survey, designed in conjunction with the Department of Communications Studies and the Institute for Social Research, will be a probability sample of 1,600 University students, selected at random from all currently enrolled University students.
Bruns leaves 'U' in criminal case
Less than two weeks after Department of Public Safety detectives had arrested him on charges of distributing child pornography, LSA first-year student Aaron Bruns voluntarily dropped out of the University while his case was pending, his lawyer told District Court Judge John Collins on Wednesday.

LGBT members lobby in capital to alter hate-crime law
For the first time in 15 years, members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community gathered last week in Lansing to lobby state legislators for equal rights.
As part of the nationwide Equality Begins at Home campaign, the lobby involved nearly 100 people from across the state who met with lawmakers at the Capitol, said Sean Kosofsky, associate director of policy for the Triangle Foundation.
Lecture examines reason-emotion dichotomy
The reason-emotion dichotomy that has maintained throughout more than 2,000 years of philosophical thought gained a new twist courtesy of the objectivist thinking of author and philosopher Ayn Rand.
This new twist was the subject of a lecture last night by Edwin Locke, University of Maryland professor of business and management and psychology. Locke, a member of the Ayn Rand Institute Board of Advisors, gave a lecture titled "Reason and Emotion: Ayn Rand's Solution to a 2000-Year-Old Dilemma.
