Drew Brees drove Purdue from its own 20 to the Ohio State 14 with just under a minute left. Brees' third-and-three pass for Chris Daniels was tipped away by Buckeye cornerback Nate Clements, and coach Joe Tiller sent his field goal unit onto the field.
But the kick by Travis Dorsch was a low line drive. Johnson, who broke through the wall over the middle of the line, batted the ball down with his right hand as he was falling to the soggy turf.
Two plays later, Bellisari slashed through a gap around left end and raced to the Purdue 21 to end the Boilermakers' hopes.

| AP PHOTO Ohio State is feeling fortunate after beating Purdue, 25-22, in a last-minute thriller. The Buckeyes blocked a Purdue field goal to preserve the victory. |
Ohio State won despite being beaten in most statistical categories. Purdue had more yards (380-369) and first downs (21-19) and kept the ball for almost nine minutes longer than the Buckeyes.
No. 2 Penn St 31, Iowa 7: Eddie Drummond ran 68 yards for a touchdown on a reverse and Eric McCoo sped 47 yards for another score to keep Penn State the only other undefeated team in the Big Ten other than Michigan State.
Other than those two plays, Penn State (2-0, 6-0) had to scratch and claw for almost everything it got against an Iowa team that had been routed by Michigan State 49-3 the week before.
The Hawkeyes (0-2, 1-4) stalled Penn State by intercepting two passes and blocking a punt.
But with a chance to cut the lead to 21-14, Iowa couldn't punch it in from the Penn State 1-yard line, and a penalty for having too many players on the field led to a 10-yard touchdown run by Aaron Harris that clinched it with 10:05 left.
No. 20 Wisconsin 20, No. 25 Minnesota 17 (OT): Vitaly Pisetsky's 31-yard field goal in overtime sent Minnesota back out of the top 25 as quickly as it came.
The Badgers won the toss and elected to defend the goal line in overtime.
Minnesota had two incompletions, a holding call, a 5-yard loss on a pass play and a false start. Then, on fourth-and-30 from the 45, Jamar Fletcher intercepted Billy Cockerham's pass at the 5, and the Badgers' offense went to work, ending Minnesota's four-game winning streak and beating the Gophers for the fifth straight time.
The Badgers (4-2, 2-1 Big Ten) and Gophers (4-1, 1-1) met as ranked teams for just the third time in their 109-year rivalry and for the first time since 1962.
Minnesota, ranked for the first time in 14 seasons, got a great performance from running back Thomas Hamner, who rushed 27 times for 144 yards and caught seven passes for 92 yards, including a 49-yard TD.
Indiana 34, Northwestern 17: Antwaan Randle El scored three touchdowns and Levron Williams rushed for a career-high 241 yards, leading Indiana to another come-from-behind victory, 34-17 over Northwestern.
Northwestern (0-3, 2-4) led 14-0 after a 75-yard interception return by Harold Blackmon late in the first quarter. But Indiana (2-1, 3-3) did not allow the Wildcats a first down the rest of the half and took control with three touchdowns in the second quarter.
Randle El, the nation's top rushing quarterback, finished with 78 yards on 24 carries and passed for 114 yards.
Williams, a sophomore who was used primarily as a receiver last year, topped his previous rushing high of 168 yards against North Carolina earlier this season.
