The Michigan women's golf team finished 10th this weekend in the Lady Northern Invitational at Wisconsin. Coach Kathy Teichert said, "the conditions were great, but the team did not play as well as I thought we'd play."
The Wolverines scored high on many holes, but Bess Bowers and LeAnna Wicks had the most success. Bowers tied for 28th place with a total of 236 and Wicks finished in 38th place with a three-day total of 238.
Sophomore Stephanie Bezilla said, "the team has definitely made strides since last year, you can tell all of us have worked really hard." The team completed the tournament with a total of 966 comprised of scores 325, 324, 317.
Michigan is currently qualifying for the Mary Fossum Invitational Tournament, this weekend in East Lansing.
