Jillson, Comrie earn All-American honors

Michigan sophomore defenseman Jeff Jillson was selected as a first-team All-American by the American Hockey Coaches Association. Sophomore center Mike Comrie was picked to the second team.

Jillson had 34 points on the season and led the CCHA in overall and league points. He earned All-CCHA first team and CCHA Best Offensive Defenseman honors. Jillson was second on the team in points.

Comrie was a finalist for the Hobey Baker award - given to college hockey's most valuable player. He also earned All-CCHA first team honors and a finalist for the conference's Player of the Year award. The center finished second in CCHA scoring behind Michigan State's Shawn Horcoff. Comrie led the Wolverines in scoring for the second consecutive season with 59 points, the most for a U-M sophomore since 1997 Hobey Baker winner Brendan Morrison scored 76 points in the 1994-95 season.
