'M' hoops nabs JaQuan Hart
According to All-Star Report, Flint native JaQuan Hart will be Michigan's fourth verbal commitment to the basketball team. The 6-5 Hart can play either guard position or small forward and is the first prospect from Flint to come to Michigan since Leon Derricks, in 1992.
Michigan State recently established a stronghold on recruiting in Flint, having recruited such stars as Mateen Cleaves, Morris Peterson, Charlie Bell and Antonio Smith. Earlier this week, Flint native Kelvin Torbert committed to Michigan State.
The commitment comes after assistant coach Terrence Greene, a Flint native who is known for his ties to prospects in the Flint area, joined the Michigan coaching staff last season.
Hart joins prospects Dommanic Ingerson, Chuck Bailey and Kelly Whitney.
