Palm, Inc. introduces model cheap enough for students

With your midterms stacking up and your papers undone you've realized that procrastination has left you in a hole of despair. You've also realized that you need to get organized, to prevent this from ever happening again. That's where Palm Pilot's new m100 model becomes your best friend.

Geared toward college students and those who love gadgets, the new Palm m100 boasts a cheaper price tag and a cooler exterior than the other hand-helds, like the comparable Palm V. Selling at $149 MSR., The m100 costs less, which allows the average student who needs a planner but doesn't want to shell out $400+, a chance to get organized.

In addition to its affordability, the shape, look and feel are very different than the conventional PDA (Personal Digital asistant). The bottom of it has a curved shape, which makes it easier to carry while walking.

Shape differences are not the only thing that makes this planner unique. Like the iMac, the m100 can be a variety of different colors. Palm has introduced a number of different faceplates that allows the owner to change its color on a whim.

The m100 runs off the PalmOS and has a new piece of software called Note Pad that allows you to write quick notes as you would on a pad of paper. Also, a button displays the time and date through a window on the cover of it.

Unfortunately, the m100 has a significantly smaller screen than most other hand-helds. Considering that most other screens already have a miniature display, it may make it more difficult to work with and less visually pleasing.

If you've been staring down the barrels of too many all-nighters, you might want to consider putting your problems in place. For students, this product is probably the quickest and easiest way to do it.
