First, we have had a great hotel room open up at Kensington Court, near I-94 and State Street. Susan Holtzer (Michigan Daily Summer Editor, 1961) has just had to cancel due to illness, and she would certainly love to recoup her costs for the non-refundable room. If you know anyone who would come to the reunion if they had a hotel room for Friday and Saturday nights, please contact Susan Holtzer TODAY at 415-309-3457. After today, I'll offer it to the larger University community, and expect that someone will snap it up tomorrow.

Q. When can I tell my story on digital video? Can I sign up for a time slot?

A. Michigan Daily Co-Managing Photo Editor Peter Schottenfels will be available on Friday afternoon between 2:30 and 5:30 pm. Sign up for a slot at check-in, tour the building with today's students, and have a good time. We'll set up additional times during the weekend as needed. The pump is primed with the stories you've been telling on email!

Q. Is seating available in the tent for the dedication?

A. We will have seating for 250 and standing room for everyone else.

Q. What is the schedule Friday evening after the 6 pm dedication?

A. We will have a good hour to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar in the Union Ballroom, followed by dinner at 8:00 and keynote speaker Ann Marie Lipinski immediately after dinner. Choose your own dinner companions; seating is reserved only for those involved in the program. The cash bar will remain open throughout dinner.

Q. Where is the football watching party for those not actually going to the game?

A. Bar Louie, 401 E. Liberty | Directions
We've had several cancellations for tickets at the actual game in the Big House. If interested, ask at the reunion check-in on Friday.

Q. What is the schedule for the Sunday morning brunch?

A. Food (coffee, cider, bagels, scones, mini-quiches, fruit) will be available beginning at 10 am on second floor (we have an elevator!). At the students' request, we will have three consecutive discussion sessions:
10:15 Photo and Arts (including updates on the Kristoffer Gillette Photo Education Fund)
10:45 Business and Advertising
11:15 Journalism, News, and Magazine Publishing

Q. Is wireless available for alumni on campus?

A. We do have wireless service at the Lipsey Building, which can be accessed with your U of M uniqname and password (e.g., gayles@umich.edu and a password).

See you in two days, Gayle
