Join us for an Alumni Talk on Monday, Feb. 10th, 2020 at 5:15pm in the Paul Brentlinger Conference Room at Stanford Lipsey Student Publications Building, presented by Jody Weinberg (LSA ’91, Daily News staff ’89-’90), Vice President, Business Affairs & Legal Counsel for Pixar Animation Studios.

Since 1995, Jody Weinberg has worked for Pixar Animation Studios. She got her start as part of the Walt Disney Animation Studios legal team before Pixar had any lawyers and then transitioned to working directly for Pixar in 2003 when the legal team was created. In her present role, she handles structuring, negotiating, and documenting business and legal terms for the engagement of outside voice, writing, and other talent in Pixar productions; and providing legal counsel and services in all aspects of production, with a focus on intellectual property matters.

Prior to Pixar, Weinberg worked as Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs for Walt Disney Animation Studios (formerly Walt Disney Feature Animation); was a Marshall’s Office intern at the Supreme Court of the United States; and a legal intern at MCA TV / Universal.

She grew up in Fresno, CA and received her B.A. in both English and Political Science from U-M, and her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law.  Learn about her adventures!
